I want to welcome the community back to school for the 2019-2020 school year and look for a truly exciting one. I speak about the community because through the grace and support of the community, our schools are prospering. We are so thankful to not only the community, but also to Mayor DiMaria for approving our budget well in advance so that we are now fully staffed for the opening of the school year. This makes me happy and proud of the hard work from lots of people including my own administrators. The schools are in good shape and are up to the usual and expected level of cleanliness. Books and materials have arrived, and so we are ready to go. With the many programs within the classroom and after school activities, there is something for each and every student. Without the community support, the high school scheduling into Academies would not be possible. Know that my administrative team and I will be visiting all schools next week to welcome the children and to ensure that logistical issues will be minimal. I pride my management on having an open door policy, and so if there are any issues or concerns, I would like to know. Together, our children will thrive in the Everett Public Schools. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help your child.
Thank you for all you do for our children and schools! We are truly a community that cares.
Sincerely yours,

Janice Gauthier
Superintendent of Schools
