Congratulations to the Whittier School first-grade teaching team for raising enough money to purchase 25 books for each and every one of their students! The fundraiser was led by educators Kim Cerbone, Alexis Delaney, Sarah McDonald, Lauren Reid, Jennifer McGowan, and Emily Pickett. The effort kicked off last week when the teachers delivered a package containing 15 picture books to the homes of the first graders. As these photos illustrate, the students were thrilled to receive the books. Thanks to every family who sent us a photo celebrating the event. The remaining 10 books will be presented to the students later in the year.
